DEAN OF REAL ESTATE MANAGEMENT (Sorouh)

The HCT recruit elite academics for Corporate Chair appointments from across the globe. The incumbents of these positions lead research and development in emerging technical fields and specialist programs. Excellence in teaching and research creates excellence in graduate outcomes, benefiting HCT students, industry and the wider business community. The Sorouh Dean of Real Estate Management has been established to provide HCT students opportunities to develop skills and careers in the real estate industry in partnership withSorouh Real Estate P.J.S.C (http://www.sorouh.com).

The position is based at the Women's College in Abu Dhabi and the ideal incumbent will be responsible for the following:

• Lead in the design and review of Real Estate Management curriculum for the HCT in coordination with the business community to ensure relevance to industry and student needs
• Promote Real Estate Management courses to the business community, College Directors and prospective students
• Develop strong relationships with the individuals and organizations in the real estate industry to share research and maintain currency in subject area
• Prepare and maintain estimates of the physical and instructional resources required to offer Real Estate Management courses
• Provide practical experience to students through specialized seminars and training programs relevant to the real estate industry, offered by Sorouh
• Coordinate with Sorouh to provide internship opportunities to HCT students
• Participate in the organization of tours for selected HCT students to Sorouh projects
• Act as a key contact for Sorouh in its partnership with the HCT

Requirements:

• Doctorate in Real Estate Studies or in a relevant specialization accompanied by a Masters Degree in Real Estate Management
• Professional designation such as RICS preferred
• Significant years of experience in Real Estate Management.
• Demonstrated experience with industry-education partnerships or linkages would be an asset
• Relevant years of experience in an academic leadership position at a tertiary institution
• Relevant years of teaching experience in Real Estate Management at a tertiary institution
• Record of research/publications/presentations in Real Estate Studies
• Familiarity with principles, issues and international advancement in curriculum development and assessment of student learning, and how these relate to educational program quality assurance
• A strong and evidence-based commitment to student centered learning principles and practices
