The Research group of the departement of Primary and Interdisciplinairy Care (Faculty of Medicine) has the following position available:

Position Description and Information
Applications are welcomed from persons with a master's degree in medicine, social sciences and/or (theoretical or applied) informatics. The successful applicant will join a group of researchers from various disciplines working on an international project TRANSFoRm (see also http://www.transformproject.eu). This EU-funded project will develop rigorous, generic methods for the integration of Primary Care clinical and research activities, to support patient safety and clinical research via rich capture of clinical data and distributed interoperability of electronic health record data and other data sources. The role of the applicant would be to develop research use cases in preparation for a clinical study protocol, detailing actors, roles, responsibilities and relationships and also to develop an information model for integration of the clinical trials data. The applicant will also report research methods and results, both orally and written. The applicant may also become involved in other ongoing research projects in the group.
Essential criteria: University degree (M.D or M.Sc.) Good study results Expertise in (medical) statistics and/or epidemiology Interest in health care research, based on electronic health records and clinical databases Very good knowledge of English, both oral and written Ability and desire to communicate and collaborate with scientists working in other fields
Desirable criteria: Knowledge of and experience with (medical) informatics, doing clinical trials. Courses taken in fields of epidemiology, health information technology
We offer An initial 1-year contract, extendable to 4 years after positive evaluation.
