Achieving Excellence Through Inclusion Faculty of Engineering Chair in Radioactive Waste Management Ref: UOS000599 Salary by agreement This prestigious Nuclear Decommissioning Authority/Royal Academy of Engineering Research Chair will be based within the Department of Engineering Materials at The University of Sheffield. We seek to appoint an outstanding individual with a distinguished international track record in any aspect of materials science and engineering (or other relevant discipline) applied to the broad field of nuclear waste management. Applicants should have research strengths that complement or broaden the existing expertise of the Immobilisation Science Laboratory (ISL) in nuclear waste immobilisation and disposal. The post provides the opportunity to engage in leadership of theISL, contribute to delivery of the new 7.1M Doctoral Training Centre in Nuclear Fission Research, Science and Technology, and develop the broader nuclear fission strategy of the Faculty of Engineering.
