Two postdoctoral positions in cancer genomics are available in the newly established lab of Dr. Ralf Kittler starting in February 2010.
Description of project:The research focus of the lab is to use innovative experimental approaches (e.g. RNAi and chemical high-throughput screening, microfluidics, ChIP-seq and RNA-seq) and computational biology to elucidate the functions of oncogenic transcription factors in human cancers and to translate this knowledge into new strategies for early detection and treatment of cancer.
Successful applicants should have a strong background in cancer biology, genomics, molecular biology, systems biology and/or computational biology and should hold or are in the final stages of obtaining a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree.
