Postdoctoral position in virology, immunology and vaccinology

The
Department of Microbiology and Immunology is seeking an outstanding
post-doctoral applicant to join an NIH-funded study that evaluates live virus
vaccines against global infectious diseases. Recent Ph.D. in virology, microbiology, immunology or
related field is required. The
work will focus on developing and characterizing live virus vaccines using
standard molecular cloning techniques and biochemical analysis. In addition, the applicant is expected
to independently study B- and T-cell mediated responses induced by a variety of
vaccine vectors in small animal models. A strong knowledge in cellular and humoral immune assays, including
ELISA, ELISPOT, FACS analysis, etc., is required. He/she will be responsible for training and oversight of
junior laboratory members, prepare manuscripts and presentations, and
collaborate with other research groups inside and outside of Jefferson. Applicants with the ability to work
