The University of Manitoba, Faculty of Pharmacy is seeking applications
for two (2) full-time tenure-track appointments. Successful candidates
will be expected to demonstrate a keen interest and pursue scholarship
in innovative educational programs and teaching, discovery of knowledge
in their specialty area and service. Commitment to collegiality and
proven ability to work within a richly diverse environment is required.
Position #10510 Pharmaceutics (physical pharmacy,
novel drug delivery). Applicants will preferably possess a professional
degree in Pharmacy and Ph.D. or equivalent, preferably with
post-doctoral or fellowship training. The successful candidate will be
expected to possess and develop an area of scholarship or research,
teach in the undergraduate and graduate programs in pharmaceutical
sciences, and provide service to the Faculty and University. Position #08733
Population-based interventions and outcomes of pharmaceuticals
(health-policy, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilence). Applicants
will preferably possess a professional degree in Pharmacy and
post-baccalaureate Pharm.D., Ph.D. or equivalent, preferably with
post-doctoral or fellowship training. The successful candidate will be
expected to possess and develop an area of scholarship or research
focusing on population-based pharmaceutical interventions and outcomes,
teach in the undergraduate and graduate programs in pharmaceutical and
health policy, scientific literature evaluation and other areas as
appropriate, and provide service to the Faculty and University.
The Faculty of Pharmacy has recently relocated to a new
state-of-the-art teaching and research facility on the Bannatyne Campus
at the University of Manitoba. The open-access laboratory facilitates
collaboration across a wide range of biological, microbiological, and
analytical research programs. There are also significant opportunities
for collaboration with other health science faculties including
Dentistry and Medicine. In addition, the Manitoba Centre for Health
Policy (in the Faculty of Medicine) provides access to a world-class
population-based research unit, with a rich data repository which
includes person-level health, pharmaceutical and social services data
for the entire population of Manitoba. The campus houses excellent
library facilities for the health sciences, and is proximally located
to several tertiary teaching hospitals. Winnipeg is the
largest city and capital of the Province of Manitoba. The city nurtures
a rich culture environment, including symphony, opera, dance, theatre,
and ethnic festivals. Besides supporting professional baseball,
football and hockey teams the region provides ample opportunities for

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The
