Posted by: Yale University School of Medicine
Posted date: 06-Oct-09
A Postdoctoral position is available immediately to develop the use of photo-activatatable fluorescent proteins for dynamic and super-resolution imaging of intercellular junctions in Drosophila tissues. The project will build on expertise in Drosophila cell biology in Lynn Cooley's lab, and pioneering work in super-resolution microscopy in Joerg Bewersdorf's lab at Yale University. Tools and expertise generated in this project will be widely applicable to the investigation of cell biology during development. Experience with confocal imaging and molecular biology, especially recombineering and BAC technologies, is preferred. The lab offers a highly collaborative environment for independent research. Funded by an ARRA Challenge Grant from the NIH. Interested candidates should send a CV, a statement of research interests and career goals, and the names of three references to Lynn Cooley: lynn.cooley yale.edu. Yale University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
